R. G. Hopper is CEO of Salon Groupie and also its Founder. Mr. Hopper descends from a long line of successful salon owners and spent much of his youth working in and/or around salons.

Soon after graduating from college, Mr. Hopper took the corporate world by storm, working for Fortune 100 companies, quickly rising to and holding several senior management positions. A true entrepreneur at heart, a decade later, he left the comfort of his corporate corner office, deploying all is personal assets he set out to fulfill his dream of building a successful business of his very own. With his own seed money and his strategic, creative and innovative business vision, Mr. Hopper did just what he set out to do. His dream became a reality, he staffed his company with a strong management team and led it with a sharp focus on offering solutions oriented approaches to solve customer needs and then supported them with high levels of customer service and efficient operational systems. The result yielded, in just a few short years…a multi-million dollar organization.

As CEO of Salon Groupie Mr. Hopper returns to “his roots”, which originally helped to define the leader he is today. We are excited to have him aboard as our leader, one with the confidence and ability to strategically and innovatively guide Salon Groupie’s Management Team toward significant growth, profitability and to become the leading salon chain in the industry. Within a short period of time, Mr. Hopper’s management and leadership of the Executive Team has already propelled Salon Groupie into the national spotlight and has succeeded in growing the chain tenfold through acquisition and consolidation.

The Salon Groupie chain of salons consists of nearly 800 high quality hair salons (and still growing) in select cities across the U.S.

Daniel J. Coniglio is the President of Salon Groupie. Mr. Coniglio’s career in the salon industry spans 30 years to date. Throughout this time Mr. Coniglio has held high profile executive management positions within the industry’s largest regional and national salon chains.

Highlights of his previous positions consist of:
• President of the International Chain Salon Association where he succeeded in developing and launching many groundbreaking initiatives (including governmental) that improved retention and working conditions for all licensed cosmetologists.

• Senior Director of Education for Retail with the largest department store chain whose parent company was Glemby International. During his tenure he was responsible for retail sales, merchandising, marketing, training and sales management for some of the industry’s most prominently recognized salon brands.

• Executive Vice President of Renee Beauty Salon, a division of Regis Corporation, one of the largest regional salon chains in the northeast. While in that role, Mr. Coniglio led a management team growing the chain under his leadership making it the top regional chain salon in the northeast. Additionally, Mr. Coniglio was responsible for operations, business management and training.

In addition to being an inspiring leader, Mr. Coniglio is an accomplished speaker and educator, he has traveled throughout the world training hair designers, salon managers and owners on how to create a “sales culture” and “standardize operational procedures” to maximize sales and profits.

With more than three decades of experience in the salon and spa vertical – in both the domestic and international arenas – Mr. Coniglio’s business experience and his enthusiasm extend to virtually every segment of the Professional Salon Industry. Oh, and lest we forget, he is a licensed cosmetologist.

Mr. Coniglio will apply his knowledge and expertise in his role as Salon Groupie’s President. He is instrumental in the support each salon receives is an effect to ensure that every additional location acheives its fullest profitability potential, maximizing revenue while closely managing costs.

Emiliano De Pasqual is Salon Groupie’s Artistic Director and as such he will be lending his expertise in the area of training and education designed for instruction on techniques in precision cutting, color application and contemporary styling. Groupie Salons are staffed by professional hairstylists who delight in a passion to remain a cut above ordinary. Our Stylists will have access to recurrent training and education provided by Mr. De Pasqual in addition to other well-known educators in North America.

Mr. De Pasqual started his career as a stylist in 1995 after completing his studies at La Parigina in the Italian northern town of Treviso. He worked under the great Italian stylist and mentor Fiorenzo Visentin. Mr. Visentin taught him not only to cut and color hair with mastery but also acculturated him to the world of fashion, photography, art, music and the immense impact these genres could have on a stylist. Working under Mr. Visentin is what got Mr. De Pasqual recognized and recruited in 2001 by London’s famed Vidal Sassoon Academy.

Mr. De Pasqual’s work includes famous clientele (Molly Sims, Naomi Campbell, Miranda Keer, Olivia Palermo); fashion editorials (Allure, Instyle, Vogue, Glamour, Cosmopolitan); photographer collaborations (Ivan Procko, Sante D’ Orazio); as well as Runway shows with Rosa Cha, J. Mendel, Betsey Johnson Yummi Tummie, Dsquared and Diesel.

While Mr. De Pasqual’s initial education has long been completed, yet he prides himself on the fact that he views learning as eternal and vows to always stay current on the latest trends in fashion and hair.

Rose Romano is Salon Groupie’s Director of Mani/Pedi Services. Ms. Romano’s experience in the Nail Service/Beauty Industry spans more than 15 years. Her background includes owning and operating salons & training facilities, independently and in conjunction with her family business. Ms. Romano holds a Full Specialty (Dual) License signifying extensive training encompassing a comprehensive study of the skin and treatments, in addition to all areas of natural nail care and artificial nail enhancements.

Ms. Romano is considered an expert in our industry and has been called upon to lecture and/or train at many events throughout the U.S. In her role at Salon Groupie, Ms. Romano will be involved in Training and Education for our Nail Services area thus ensuring that our Salon Groupie Nail Technicians are kept current on the very latest in trends, styles and techniques. In addition, she will be responsible for researching the best in products and services that we endeavor to offer our clients.
